American southern gospel singing group.
Began in the mid-1940s and continued singing through the 2010s. It is believed the Weatherfords may hold the record for having the most members in a Gospel music group having had over 100 in a 70-year period. Some of the earliest members include: Earl Weatherford (2nd tenor), Lily Weatherford (first tenor), Glenn Payne (baritone), Armon Morales (bass), and Henry Slaughter (piano). They were headquartered in Akron, Ohio.
